The Blessings and Curses of Being Honest

Several weeks ago I received an email from a subscriber who wrote, in part: “… Some of your thought processes are not very pretty and sometimes conflicting. Why do you share on such an intimate level? ...”
It’s a good question and those of you that are subscribing to this free weekly message deserve to know a little more about me. It may help you interpret or integrate these messages into your own life. Conversely, it may cause you to decide to run for your life!
I am a recovering alcoholic with over 25 years of sobriety. I used to be an active Presbyterian minister. Today, I remain very spiritual, but not very religious. Those who have read my book and/or listened to my Audio CD already know this.

Several years into AA’s program of recovery, where the acceptance I found transformed my life and accomplished what all the religious dogma and biblical studies never did, I relived a repressed memory from my days in high school. A girl became rather sweet on me and, during a band trip, shared how much she both respected and liked me. All the time she was telling me this, I remembered thinking to myself: “The me she believes she’s talking to isn’t the real me.” Exploring this memory, I discovered that that experience was a classic symptom of toxic shame – a phrase coined by John Bradshaw in his book Healing the Shame that Binds You. 1988.

It was a very, very sick feeling – believing that my “me” that you responded to wasn’t really me. And if it was not really me, then who was it? Who was I? I had no earthly idea, other than knowing I had this hollow empty feeling deep inside that I was living a lie and was a very incomplete person. Unlike you.
In AA meetings I heard many different people describe this same feeling as “…having a hole in your soul.” Very apt, I believe. How do I fill that hole? Honesty – real honesty. I found honesty in meetings, with my sponsor, working the steps, making amends.

In AA meetings for the first time in my life, I experienced the ability to be really me, nothing held back, and still feel supported and accepted. That totally transformed me. I will never be able to repay the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous for that tremendous gift of Grace God gave me – speaking through the voices in those rooms.

In personal computing there is a term used in conjunction with printer technology called WYSIWYG (“What you see is what you get”). That’s exactly what I want to be in my life. That’s the only way I can feed the real me and starve the feeling that I have a hole in my soul.

World is going "mobile" evidence: Americans are fast turning to mobile devices

Americans are fast turning to mobile devices to get their news, resulting in stunning viewership declines for CNN and existence-threatening readership drops for newspapers, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. The winners: social network sites, online news and websites like the Drudge Report and Yahoo.

In Pew's latest look at trends in news consumption, Americans said that they have turned away from CNN. In just four years, the percentage of those who say they watch CNN has dropped from 24 percent to 16 percent. Viewership of the competing cable giants, Fox and MSNBC, has remained fairly stable with Fox leading with 21 percent who say they watch it regularly and MSNBC third with 11 percent who say they watch it regularly.

CNN is not the only one hurting: Newspaper readership has dropped in half since 2000, with only 23 percent of those polled saying they read a paper. Magazine readership, meanwhile, has dropped to 18 percent, and those getting their news from TV is down to 55 percent, a troubling trend.

Maybe the worst news of all in the poll is that younger Americans are not the news consumers that their parents are. Fully 29 percent of Americans under 25 said they didn't pay attention to news.

"Young people also consistently spend less time with the news than do older Americans, which is in part attributable to the relatively large share that gets no news on a typical day. In the current survey, those younger than 30 spent an average of 45 minutes getting news yesterday. Older age groups spent an hour or more with news, on average, with those 65 and older spending an average of 83 minutes with the news yesterday," said Pew.

As Americans turn away from traditional news platforms, they are embracing mobile delivery, either through cellular phones, computers or wireless tablets, said Pew. And that has naturally given the advantage to social websites like Facebook, traditional news outlets with established websites or web-only sites like Drudge and Yahoo. Pew, for example, included Drudge in their list of the top 18 news websites, reporting that 2 percent of those surveyed get their news most often, the same percentage as the websites for the Washington Post, USA Today and ESPN.

But one website popular among Washington political and news types--Twitter--scored poorly in the survey. Pew said that just 13% of adults use Twitter and they apparently are not using it to get news, despite efforts by news organizations and reporters who tweet news by the minute.

"Among the public," said Pew, "Twitter barely registers as a news source. Just three percent say they regularly get news on Twitter, while 4 percent sometimes get news there." but Pew did note that Twitter usership is growing.

How to do SEO wrong, Learn from this fella's $4M mistake

When Ryan Abood looked at the books for his parents' New Hampshire flower shop, one number popped out. Without a bit of advertising, sales of gift baskets had grown 400 percent. For a year and a half, he worked a hundred hours a week to make his spinoff, GourmetGiftBaskets.com, into the third-largest player in his niche. Then, one day, he woke up to find that Google, the source of 80 percent of the company's revenue, had banished his site from its search results. His company ended up the better for it.

On November 11, 2008, I woke up at 6 o'clock and did a Google search on my phone, like I do every morning. We're usually one or two for just about every industry keyword. But we were nowhere to be found. I opened up my laptop. We weren't in the first thousand results. This was right before the holiday season, when we typically make 40 to 60 percent of our annual revenue. It was really, really devastating.

We weren't sure what had happened. Occasionally, Google will drop a site from the index -- just algorithmically forget about you for a few days. People said, "You either have some type of temporary exclusion, or you have a penalty."

I called the two companies we hired to improve our ranking. In the past, I'd done all our search-engine optimization myself. But as we grew, we started paying companies to reach out to relevant sites and ask them for links. Instead, one of the companies admitted it was paying for links. Google looks at that like buying an election.

Google has a form called the re-inclusion request. We call it the Google confessional. We said, "These are the links that were paid; these are the links that weren't paid. We've obviously violated your trust, and we're taking steps to remedy it."

That holiday season, we pay-per-clicked out the wang. We spent a lot of money. They penalize you organically, but they still let you buy ads. We leaned on our affiliate channel. Meanwhile, we were slashing inventory, letting people go, getting neat and trim. It ended up costing us $2 million in sales that winter and another couple million in 2009.

Before the penalty, we had zero social media presence. We sort of looked at it like, "It must be nice to have the time to do that." Now, as part of our whole strategy of never buying a link again, we blog about anything. We're up to 3,200 Facebook fans. We Twitter every day.

This March, we also hired a manager of comparison shopping, a social media manager, an affiliate marketing manager; and we have someone in-house to watch our link portfolio. If somebody might misinterpret a link as paid, we take it down. We're not messing around.

We didn't see the kind of ratings we had before the penalty until Google's Caffeine update, this June. That was our final pardon. Now we're back at the top.

Without the Google penalty, we wouldn't be anywhere near as far along as we are. You have two choices: You can roll over and die, or you can grow beyond it.

Three biggest mistakes done in emarketing

Your emarketing is your invitation to the world to explore your products and services.  There are a number of strategies to accomplish this and there are three big mistakes I have seen over the years that hamper successful intentions. 

No coordinated plan 

Without a coordinated plan you lose the power of potential. Here is an example, you want to have a list of people who will receive your newsletter via email. But, your web site or blog offers no opportunity to your visitors to connect with you in that way. It is up to you to provide a method for a visitor to sign up or “opt-in” to you communications.

An easy fix is adding a subscribe button to your web pages, or a link, that can be clicked to open a form. Lack of search engine understanding

Search engines are a free and direct method where people can find you. Don’t forget, there are billions of web sites and blogs and the search engines have no cares about who shows up first in any search engine result. This leaves it to you to improve your visibility. Otherwise, your site is a boat adrift in the sea of search engine data. 

Learning more about this process, search engine optimization (SEO), takes time. It is not something you will digest and put into action in a week or month. SEO processes are always changing to keep results authentic and to help clean up the web from dubious efforts at faking high interest sites.

Lack of marketing knowledge

If you ask them, everyone has the perfect product or service that will assist folks and businesses to be more successful, healthy, and prosperous. The hiccup arrives when communicating that to the world on the internet. In the old days you hung flyers, handed out business cards, sent out post cards, and made phone calls to your target audience.

In internet game, you must research what people use in the search engines to find services like yours and put that to work in your content.  You want to be synced up to the current trends in search engine key phrases that will lead people to your pages. You want your news spread around on credible sites, as educational information, that will lead people to you. Lastly, if you want more local clients or if you want a global audience, be sure to configure your meta tags and content with the appropriate information. 

Be diligent and persevere in your efforts to resolving these three biggest mistakes in emarketing and the rewards will be larger that you expect.

Gliese 163c, which lies beside a red dwarf star, has a mass of 6.9 times that of Earth and an orbital period of 26 days.

Researchers believe the new-found world's location means it could be a super-earth where liquid water could exist.

Astronomers found it using the European Southern Observatory HARPS telescope (or High Accuracy Radial Velocity Planet Searcher).

WAKE UP AMERICA: 100 days until biggest tax rate in history goes into place

Sunday will mark the start of the 100-day countdown to “Taxmageddon” – the date the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect.  They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2013:

First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief

In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for small business owners, families, and investors (later re-upped by President Obama and Democrat Congress in 2010).  The following tax hikes will occur on January 1, 2013:

Personal income tax rates will rise on January 1, 2013.  The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which the majority of small business profits are taxed).  The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent.  All the rates in between will also rise.  Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates.  The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:

-The 10% bracket rises to a new and expanded 15%

-The 25% bracket rises to 28%

-The 28% bracket rises to 31%

-The 33% bracket rises to 36%

-The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family coming on January 1, 2013.  The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of taxable income.  The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.  The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. 

Middle Class Death Tax returns on January 1, 2013.  The death tax is currently 35% with an exemption of $5 million ($10 million for married couples).  For those dying on or after January 1 2013, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million.  A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.

Higher tax rates on savers and investors on January 1, 2013.  The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 23.8 percent in 2013.  The top dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 43.4 percent in 2013.  This is because of scheduled rate hikes plus Obamacare’s investment surtax.

Second Wave: Obamacare Tax Hikes

There are twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare.  Some have already gone into effect (the tanning tax, the medicine cabinet tax, the HSA withdrawal tax, W-2 health insurance reporting, and the “economic substance doctrine”).  Several more will go into effect on January 1, 2013.  They include:

The Obamacare Medical Device Tax begins to be assessed on January 1, 2013.  Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. This law imposes a new 2.3% excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year. Exempts items retailing for <$100.

The Obamacare Medicare Payroll Tax Hike takes effect on January 1, 2013.  The Medicare payroll tax is currently 2.9 percent on all wages and self-employment profits.  Starting in 2013, wages and profits exceeding $200,000 ($250,000 in the case of married couples) will face a 3.8 percent rate.

The Obamacare “Special Needs Kids Tax” comes online on January 1, 2013.  Imposes a cap on FSAs of $2500 (now unlimited).  Indexed to inflation after 2013. There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children.  There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education.  Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education.  This Obamacare cap harms these families.

The Obamacare “Haircut” for Medical Itemized Deductions goes into force on January 1, 2013.  Currently, those facing high medical expenses are allowed a deduction for medical expenses to the extent that those expenses exceed 7.5 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI).  The new provision imposes a threshold of 10 percent of AGI. Waived for 65+ taxpayers in 2013-2016 only.

Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes

When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2013, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired.  These tax increases will be in force for BOTH 2012 and 2013.  The major items include:

The AMT will ensnare over 31 million families, up from 4 million last year.  According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 31 million.  These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level.  The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Full business expensing will disappear.  In 2011, businesses can expense half of their purchases of equipment.  Starting on 2013 tax returns, all of it will have to be “depreciated” (slowly deducted over many years).

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses.  There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place.  The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there are many, many others.  Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.

Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced.  The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available.  Tax credits for education will be limited.  Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses.  Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut.  Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed.  The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of families.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed.  Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA.  This contribution also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.”  This ability will no longer be there.

As the battle for control of the global financial system rages towards a climax, murders, provocations and disinformation campaigns are all escalating. The disappearance of Xi Xinping, the man who is supposed to be the new leader of China, is one example. Xi Xinping vanished from the public spot-light for two weeks to hide his bruises after being beaten up by his handlers, according to two separate high-ranking Chinese sources. Xi works for Jean Daniel Cohen of the French Hoche group and has been ordered to provoke anti-Japanese demonstrations in China, according to one of these sources. Mr. Cohen has not returned this writer’s call asking to confirm this.

The Japanese junior officer corps nearly fell for the recent Chinese provocations (including the sending of warships to disputed Islands) and demanded war before cooler, senior heads warned them it was all a trap.
The murder last week of Japan’s Financial services Minister Tadahiro Matsushita was linked to a cabal attempt to extort money, Japanese public security police sources say. Matsushita had refused to hand over $5 trillion

to agents working for the cabal. Matsushita was forced to write wills at gunpoint and was then drugged and strangled, according to the police sources. The sudden death of Shinichi Nishimiya, Japan’s newly appointed ambassador to China is believed to be linked to the cabal, although investigations have just begun.

These murders and other un-reported ones elsewhere are part of an attempt by the cabal to extort money to prevent the bankruptcy of the United States of America corporation (as opposed to the American Republic).

The owners of the Federal Reserve Board crime syndicate, for their part, have been trying to steal money wherever they can. In one of their maneuvers a General Rosiere (first name not known) has been travelling around with a flotilla of battleships stealing gold from Indonesia, the Philippines and elsewhere, White Dragon Society sources say. The stolen gold has been taken to the Freeport mine in Indonesia before being moved on to Hong Kong for re-smelting. Henry Kissinger has been an executive at the Freeport mining company.

In a separate scam two cabal agents Keith Benedict and Terrance Wayne, working with someone named Tonni in Indonesia have been running an international network of foreign exchange booths run by Indian nationals. These booths have acted as an information collection source to identify large stores of cash and other valuables for the cabal to steal, according to CIA sources in Europe. Until these crooks are arrested, it may be wise to avoid certain money changers.

Meanwhile, the various troubles in the Middle East are all being coordinated as an ongoing operation Gladio in the Middle East and Europe. The recent anti-Islam film that has been blamed for causing unrest was made by Nazi agent Terry Jones, according to an MI5 sources in London. Jones is part of a Frankfurt, Germany based George Bush Senior operation known as COREA. Other Nazi agents, acting in concert and on cue, then proceeded to carry out violent acts targeting US and other Western embassies throughout the Middle East.

However, most of these incidents are either fake or grossly exaggerated. The big stories about the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya being attacked and American diplomats being killed is a prime example. All you have to do is go to the US State Department home page to confirm that there has never been a US consulate in Benghazi.

The attempts to foment unrest are being met with disgust by ordinary citizens in both Europe and the Middle East and it is certain the attempt to use these incidents to start a “New World Order,” with a single world religion, are blowing up in their faces.

Speaking about blowing up in their faces, Vincenzo Mazzara, a Cavalier of the Teutonic Knights who this writer has accused of trying to murder him twice, contacted me through an intermediary last week.

Mazzara, together with Daniel Dal Bosco and Leo Zagami were recorded by intelligence agency sources saying that they had “nearly got me,” after I was stabbed with a needle after a speaking engagement in June.

There is now enough evidence to bring attempted murder charges against all three of these individuals together with their puppets Ichiro Ozawa and Yasuhiro Nakasone.

Secret negotiations have been initiated between the White Dragon Society and the P2. The P2 Lodge has been asked to stop its anti-social behavior and offered forgiveness in exchange. They have also been warned that professional cleaning teams are in place and waiting for the green light should negotiations break apart.

There is a growing consensus in both Asian and Western intelligence sources that Rome is the location of a rogue ancient artificial intelligence that can only be terminated by deleting Rome. The White Dragon Society is opposed to destroying such a historically valuable city and hopes to prevent such a drastic move.

In any case, although there is much that we cannot write at this time, we can report that some extremely heavy hitters are saying they will be making big moves against the cabal this week. Time for talk is quickly running out for the cabal.

Mobile, Mobile, Mobile - Do You Have Your Mobile On?

I keep saying get your mobile computing on now, not because I am some kinda techno wizard, but because the signs are everywhere. You must have your web site and blog set up for mobile computing. Otherwise, you are missing the move - that means it will just cost you more later and delay your access to a wider audience now. 

The recent interview with Facebook Founder Zuckerberg is another sign. In the candid interview about the nasty IPO of his company he admitted his mistake saying,  “One of the mistakes was that we spent too long focusing on was the HTML platform for the web as opposed to adopting and improving our product for mobile devices which we now firmly believe is the future of our network.” He said that they underestimated 'how fundamentally good mobile is' for their growth.   Click here to read the article.

Hey, if mobile computing is good for Facebook expansion it’s good for your expansion too. 

Going mobile is not going to cost you and arm and a leg. If it is, you’d better shop around. In reality there are two ways to get mobile quickly. One is designing your site to be compatible with mobile devices. The second is to buy a site or service that will mobilize your existing site and that costs a subscription per month. 

The foundation principle to grasp here is that “mobile” is here to stay. It is a driving force in the online world of business and growing stronger every month.

The Pros 

The up side of a mobile site design  is that once your site is done you just have to update it. Web sites have a tendency to grow in content. The longer you wait to do your  mobile site design, the more expensive it will be due to the increased content to transform.  The pros on buying a subscription mobile site is that you get a mobile site almost instantly for lots less money outta pocket in the short run.

The Cons 

Doing a mobile site design now means more cash outlay in the short run. However, in the long run you just have maintenance to your content on one site. The bad side of buying a mobile site subscription is that after a while the subscription fee would have bought you a mobile site design; instead you are still paying that subscription and having to maintain two sites.

Tadahiro Matsushita, Japan’s Finance Minister, was murdered Monday in an attempt by the cabal to extort more money out of Japan. Also last week NATO went on full military alert and was planning to attack Syria and provoke war with China and Russia before it was stopped by a UK RAF whistleblower who alerted colleagues at the Pentagon, according to both MI5 and CIA sources. All of these incidents are part of the final death throes of the Satanic cabal that was attempting to install a fascist world government after starting World War 3.

Multiple death threats have also been directed at this writer along with a raid on my house by Japanese tax police. The time for talk is over and direct action to deal with these mass murdering scum has begun.
The biggest immediate threat now is cabal plans to set off nuclear terror attacks in Europe in an attempt to provoke Muslim/Christian warfare, according to MI5 sources. Message to the P2 lodge: Satan has already left this universe and you are now just a bunch of scared old men about to go to jail.

Remember, if these people are not arrested, if you personally see any of them, you are legally entitled to kill them on the spot because they are trying to murder you and your family and that has been proven beyond a doubt.

Here is the latest from MI5 and other sources on the cabal’s plans for mass murder in Europe.

Their long term goal and the reason they justify their mass murder is that they plan to “merge all religion after a prolonged period of tribulation and war,” according to MI5 and other sources.

The starting point for this will be the Middle East, Peter Hans Kolvenbach’s base of operations. Kolvenbach was recently spotted in Tripoli with Giorgio Balestrieri, a Senior P2 Lodge member and one of the mid-level planners of the 911 terror attack on New York, MI5 says.

The planning for this has all been very long term. During World War 2 the Nazis recruited and trained 750,000 agents for the Muslim Brotherhood to help implement this plan.

These agents were then sent to Saudi Arabia and other places as teachers to raise a second generation of Muslim extremist agents. Bin Laden, who reported to George Bush Senior, was a second generation member of this group.

Another senior agent is Frank Wisner II who was sent by Obama to take control of the contrived “revolution” in Egypt. Wisner’s father was a Nazi CIA who was involved in the Hungarian uprising and other operations. Egypt’s new Nazi puppet leader has been following the script he was given by trying to fan the flames of religious extremism most recently, for example, by berating Syria’s secular government.

In Europe we can see the P2 plot in public now. The key players are the Satanic part of the Vatican, the EU and Goldman Sachs. The leaders imposed last winter on the people of Greece and Italy, Lucas Papademos and Mario Monti, as well as Mario Draghi, the head of the European Central Bank, all worked for Goldman Sachs, which is a Rockefeller front company. Monti and Draghi together with the unelected President of the EU Herman von Rumpoy are all Jesuits. Pope Benedict (maledict) XVI revealed his involvement in an encyclical calling for a ‘new global economic order’.

The P2 and their fake Muslim terrorist allies were responsible for the 7/7 subway terror attack in London. They were also behind the Anders Breivik mass murder in Norway, according to MI5.

The French Freemasons are gearing up now to play their role. A likely target for a mass terror attack designed to provoke the planned Muslim-Christian civil war is Marseille with its large Muslim immigrant population, the MI5 source says. Furthermore, Serbian extremists have been handed nuclear weapons so that they can play their part in fomenting religious strife through mass murder.

After causing all this turmoil, of course the people who caused it are planning to present their solution which is a one world religion controlled by the Satanic P2 lodge.

In Asia meanwhile, the situation is not going at all according to cabal plans. However, we have received warnings and threats of a planned series of strategic assassinations aimed to trying to keep control over the financial system here.

Last week this writer phoned the Ministry of Finance to ask if Japan’s foreign assets had declined after the 311 attacks. The Ministry of Finance replied through their public relations office that in fact they had increased slightly to just under 600 trillion yen ($7.7 trillion). They said they no longer denominate their foreign exchange reserves in dollars. This may be one of the reasons the Finance Minister was murdered last night.

What is emarketing? How can new people find your site easily?

Ever wonder how emarketing is accomplished?  How can new people find about your site, services, or products?

The Internet is an information depot. Wow, kids nowadays have an easy time researching an essay topic. If you want to find out what is happening on the other side of the world, all you have to do is point and click. Exploring the who and what of your friends is quick with the multitude of social networks like Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter.

The portal into this data warehouse is a search engine. Search engine spiders crawl the web 24/7 and assimilate data from every web page and blog post. The three main ones are Google, Bing, and Yahoo but there are others plus there are thousands of directories too.  All these warehouses are sending their spiders to crawl the Internet and amass every bit of info.

The million dollar question is how do you get your data to the top of the heap?  What does it take, when people are searching for you, to find you on the first page of search results, or better yet find a link to your page directly?

The answer is simple: create a buzz about your company, products, and services.

The resolution lies in a coordinated and extended effort but it’s not complicated. Here are the three steps I have been using successfully for years.

First, you need to SEO, Search Engine Optimize, your web site. You can also optimize your blog posts but I’ll save that subject to another article.  Accomplishing SEO means three things.

1. Researched key words to use on your pages. This research displays trends of buzz words people are using in search engines to find products and services.  Both Google and Bing have these research tools for free. You need to think ahead, what is the keyword or phrase people will associate with your offering?
   
2. Align your content and meta tags. You must match the content of your meta tags (key words, description, title, and author) to the content in your page.
   
3. Index your site in the search engines. This is a simple process of submitting your site map to the search engines - frequently. Check my previous posts as I made a video on how to do this process.

Second, create your own buzz. You easily accomplish this by establishing backlinks to your site. For example, when you make a blog post, place a link to your site at the bottom of your it. In your social marketing updates and tweets be sure to put a link to your web site or blog.

For all you folks on a mission, you must take creating a buzz a step further. Create press releases, articles and reviews of your offering - that are educational in nature - and post them on appropriate, quality sites.  The big turn off is making them a sales pitch, And, yes, they can have a link to your site in ‘em and still be considered educational. Just do it in your Bio at the end of the content which adds that professional looking touch. 

Last step, submit your web pages, press releases, articles, and blog posts to the search engines and  directories. There are thousands around the world. I think the easiest method is buy the software. But, there are plenty of sites, including mine, where you can purchase services to do submissions for you.  

The key with those three steps is prolonged effort of 6-12 months. That’s when you will see a substantial change in your web presence - your web reputation.

You might be asking, “How do I measure that success?” One simple way is to check your PageRank before you start. After 12-15 weeks check it again.  If it is increasing then you are on the right track. If not, then maybe you are not doing enough or your work is too wide spread.  Another measure is to Google your key phrase(s) before you start. Jot down where you appear in the search results. After 12 weeks Google them again, if you are appearing higher in the search results that your success is evident.

There is another step when you get good at creating your buzz. You see, once you have established a sphere of influence, you can generate an extended buzz that’ll help even more people find you.
