How Your Third Eye, Visualization, and Pineal Gland Combine To Create .....

The symbol of the All-Seeing-EYE, has always been part of Earth's creation mythologies and mysteries.

In Ancient Egypt, is was symbolized by the Eye of Horus.
The symbol was passed down, through the ancient mystery teachings and and can be found on the American dollar bill.

Why the symbol of the EYE?

The eye is the observer of reality - or the illusion of reality.
In the physical body, your eyes look outward - though it views objects upside down. It next sends the message of what it observes... to the brain, which interprets the image and makes it appear right side up to us.

But the human body has another physical eye, whose function has long been recognized by humanity.

It is called the 'Third Eye' which in reality, is the Pineal Gland. It is the Spiritual Third Eye, our Inner Vision, and it is considered the Seat of the Soul. It is located in the geometric center of the cranium.

The Pineal Gland is about the size of a pea, and is in the center of the brain in a tiny cave, behind and above the pituitary gland, which lies a little behind the root of the nose. It is located directly behind the eyes, attached to the third ventricle.

The true function of this mysterious gland, has long been contemplated by philosophers and Spiritual Adepts. Ancient Greeks believed the pineal gland, to be our connection to the Realms of Thought. Descartes called it, the Seat of the Soul.
This gland is activated by Light, and it controls the various biorhythms of the body. It works in harmony with the hypothalamus gland, which directs the body's thirst, hunger, sexual desire and the biological clock, that determines our aging process.
When the pineal gland awakens, one feels a pressure at the base of the brain. This pressure will often be experienced, when connecting to higher frequency. A head injury, can also activate the Third Eye - Pineal Gland.

While the physiological function of the pineal gland, has been unknown until recent times, mystical traditions and esoteric schools, have long known, this area in the middle of the brain, to be the connecting link... between the physical and spiritual worlds.
Considered the most powerful and highest source of ethereal energy, available to humans, the pineal gland has always been important, in initiating supernatural powers. Development of Psychic Talents... has been closely associated with this organ of higher vision.

The pineal gland contains a complete map, of the visual field of the eyes, and it plays several significant roles in human functioning. There is a pathway from the retinas to the hypothalamus, called the retinohypothalamic tract. It brings information, about light and dark cycles, to a region of the hypothalamus, called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN).

From the SCN, nerve impulses travel, via the pineal nerve (sympathetic nervous system) to the pineal gland. These impulses, inhibit the production of melatonin. When these impulses stop (at night, when light no longer stimulates the hypothalamus), pineal inhibition ceases and melatonin is released. The pineal gland, is therefore, a photosensitive organ and an important timekeeper, for the human body.

Retinal research, done with hamsters, demonstrates another center for melatonin production. Located in the retina, this center implies... that the eyes, have their own built in circadian timepiece. This retinal system, is distinct from the brain’s body clock, in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN). Biologists found, that they could throw the retinal rhythms... out of sync, with other circadian cycles. They also found, that they could set and reset the retinal clock, even when the SCN was destroyed.

The retinal clock, produces (stimulates the production of?) melatonin. Researchers are now looking for the exact location (s) of this clock, in the human eye, (and expect to find it). No one yet knows, what the separate clock is for, or how it relates to the SCN.
In some lower vertebrates, the Epiphysis Cerebri - Pineal Gland, has a well developed eye - like structure; in others, though not organized as an eye, it functions as a light receptor. In lower vertebrates, the pineal gland has an eye like structure and it functions as a light receptor and also is considered by some, to be the evolutionary forerunner of the modern eye.

The gland weighs little more than 0.1 gram. The gland is large in children and begins to shrink, with the onset of puberty.
It appears to play a major role in sexual development, hibernation in animals, metabolism, and seasonal breeding. In humans, it affects circadian rhythms, sleep patterns (melatonin levels increase at night) and is implicated in seasonal affective disorder. The abundant melatonin level in children, is believed to inhibit sexual development. When puberty arrives, melatonin production is reduced.

The pineal gland secretes melatonin, during times of relaxation and visualization. As we are created by electromagnetic energy - and react to EM energy stimuli around us - so does the pineal gland.
When activated, the pineal gland becomes the line of communication, with the higher planes. The crown chakra, reaches down, until its vortex touches the pineal gland. Prana, or pure energy, is received through this energy center in the head. With Practice, the vibration level of the astral body is raised, allowing it, to separate from the physical.

To activate the 'third eye' and perceive higher dimensions, the pineal gland and the pituitary body, must vibrate in unison, which is achieved through meditation and / or relaxation. When a correct relationship is established, between personality, operating through the pituitary body, and the soul, operating through the pineal gland, a magnetic field is created.

The negative and positive forces, interact and become strong enough, to create the 'light in the head.' With this 'light in the head' activated, astral projectors can withdraw themselves, from the body, carrying the light with them.

Astral Travel, and other occult abilities, are closely associated with the development of the 'light in the head'. After physical relaxation, concentration upon the pineal gland, is achieved, by staring at a point in the middle of the forehead. Without straining the muscles of the eye, this will activate the pineal gland and the 'third eye'.
Beginning with the withdrawal of the senses and the physical consciousness, the consciousness is centered in the region of the pineal gland. The perceptive faculty and the point of realization, are centralized in the area between the middle of the forehead and the pineal gland. The trick is to visualize, very intently, the subtle body... escaping through the trap door of the brain.

A "popping sound" may occur at the time separation of the astral body, in the area of the pineal gland.

Visualization exercises, are the first step, in directing the energies in our inner systems, to activate the 'third eye'. The magnetic field is created around the pineal gland, by focusing the mind on the midway point, between the pineal gland and the pituitary body. The creative imagination visualizes something, and the thought energy of the mind gives life and direction to this form.

'Third eye' development, imagination, and visualization are important ingredients, in many methods to separate from the physical form. Intuition is also achieved, through 'third eye' development. Knowledge and memory of the astral plane, are not registered in full waking consciousness, until the intuition becomes strong enough. Flashes of intuition come, with increasing consistency, as the 'third eye' is activated to a greater degree, through practice. Universal Knowledge... can also be acquired.
The pineal gland, corresponds with divine thought, after being touched by the vibrating light of Kundalini. Kundalini starts its ascent, towards the head center, after responding to the vibrations from the 'light in the head.'

The light is located at the top of the sutratma, or 'soul thread', which passes down from the highest plane of our being... into the physical vehicle.

The 'third eye,' or 'Eye of Siva,' the organ of spiritual vision, is intimately related to karma, as we become more spiritual in the natural course of evolution.

As human beings continue to evolve, further out of matter, on the journey from spirit to matter... back to spirit, the pineal gland will continue to rise from its state of age - long dormancy, bringing back to humanity... astral capacities and spiritual abilities.
At certain brain wave frequencies, a sense of "ego boundary" vanishes. In the "theta" state, we are resting deeply and still conscious, at the threshold of drifting away from or back into conscious awareness. As the brain enters deeper states, our consciousness is less concerned with the physical state, our 'third eye' is active, and separation becomes natural.

Many native traditions and mystical practices, refer to the ability of 'seeing,' or being aware of energy fields, at higher levels. This abstract awareness, is much more subjective and does not involve the normal level of mundane consciousness, which is mostly concerned with self - identity. This 'seeing' refers to the sight of the 'third eye'.

Consciousness is raised, from an emotional nature, into an illumined Awareness, when the pineal gland is lifted from dormancy. If the pineal gland is not yet fully developed, it will be in the course of evolution. When our sense of ego and personality are set aside and we keep our mental energy intact, we can become "conscious" of the non-physical, our inner self, the subconscious, through different practices to activate the 'light in the head.'

Discover an Intentional Life

For me, the signal was an "unwillingness to settle for less" notion inside. Inside means more than the voice in my head. It means my BEing, which I am still exploring and don't have a pat answer about. Maybe I never will and that is okay. That notion showed up at various points in my life and I responded differently each time. When I finally began to slow down and listen to the radar of my life, I was sick and tired of feeling alone. No matter how much success I experienced or how much pain I was in.... one common thread was always there: I was separate from all else. To me, seeking medication or the advice of another wasn't an option. Something within me, a notion, knew that the solution I wanted was not outside; outside as defined by the circumstances of my life.

Trusting that notion, at first little by little, then more and more - was a long series of events. Some of those events were dreams. Others were coincidences. My mother raised me to read and listen - bless her heart! I had those habits o fall back on and that caused me to read and listen beyond words and sounds for subtle hints and ideas. Have you taken the time to notice what habits you fall back on? Are they beneficial or harmful to your evolution? Do those habits just satisfy a short time wish - or will they positively impact the quality of your living?

It was this inner hunger I had that kept me exploring. That exploring took many shapes and situations. My saving grace is that I was always to hang on to the awareness of how I was feeling. What made me separate from others? Just as important was, "What will create peace in this moment?"

Those two questions were my compass for many years. Looking back, I am not sure what happened to change me or move me forward, but I started digging a little deeper with me and began noticing that although I was talking about many positive aspects of living, I was actually NOT practicing them - 100% of the time. At first this did not seem like a big deal but after a year or two It finally dawned on me that when I was living these qualities - not just talking about 'em - there was an incredible ocean of inner satisfaction that blossomed inside. I was feeling the enjoyment of my Self. That feeling ability opened a wonderful door in my life.

I have learned that there is one language in life: Trust. The absence of that language leads to steering life from the perspective of "what others think" and "what looks best." Don't get the wrong idea here. The language of Trust I am speaking of benefits all living creatures in their highest and best good.
The language of Trust doesn't rely on outside circumstance to flourish. It is built upon inner faith and inner courage. It blossoms without needing the approval of outside sources or peers. It's a juggernaut of hope and good fortune - even during the dark night of the Soul. No one can take this language away from you and no one can build it for you either. It is timeless and immortal.

The key to awakening your language of Trust is this: walking your talk. The language of Trust begins and grows as you walk your beliefs that reside in your heart. And, these beliefs provide compassion and understanding for all living things. There is no discrimination and no separation in this vocabulary.

For me, all too often I used to take action with the to escape "uncomfortable feelings." At that time, I wasn't even aware that my only intention was escape. This "action" usually took one of two forms - or both. One was getting involved in "doing" something or making something. The other was completely ignoring my feelings. First I had to realize I had those two habits, then I had to learn how to break 'em. And, breaking them didn't mean escaping into another bad habit.

My remedy arrived when I begin to sense that I sincerely wanted to gain self growth - self improvement - evolve my Self. The first and most difficult step was apply the brakes, I had to slow down and embrace what was in front of me to learn from it. This didn't mean I had to get lost in analyzing data or play the blame and shame game. I just wanted to resolve whatever was present so that I can move forward. That hunger to move forward freely without carrying around any buried feelings or thinking allowed me to discover embracing whatever is on my path in the present moment.

The major shift occurred within me, I realized in my bones, not just talking about it, that me - all of us - are led by our heart when we stay present to our faith that we will grow and expand. I get into trouble when my mind starts using logic because that process inevitably dissolves whatever level of trust I have established and brings more fear and doubt to the surface.

Fear and doubt always, and I mean always, show up in me as feeling alone or feeling I am separate from whatever is taking place - with a host of reasons. I found "reasons" will arouse the thieves of my heart: anger, greed, jealousy, and fear. I want more experiences of unity and Love in my life. What about you?

A major habit breaker was redesigning my life style. I had spent years leading a life of begin accustomed to quick results, pushing and driving to get results, and not spending quality time with myself. Society has trained us this way - we let it happen. Now, the most important time of my days is creating my intentions each morning. This refreshed my honor to myself and is a simple act of building a new level of trust within. After all, we don't need the trust of anyone else. We must learn to accept our own ability to be real with our self - to trust our own self.

A great teacher said to me recently, "Everyone interacts with the people and situations in their life - in the same way and with the same understanding - that they interact with their own Self." Just exactly what this means is still sinking in, I am still contemplating this one. How about you?

My measuring stick nowadays is the ability I have to stand in my Truth. This does not require the need or acceptance or approval of another. In that standing, the mystery of who I am and what life is, is replaced with a hunger based in faith and an attention span ruled by my heart. In my perspective, that hunger is very different from the training and "norms" accepted in the society today. As a civilization, we need to move away from having every aspect of our lives ruled by the mind, by analysis, by right and wrong. Transforming our life to be led by our heart means taking the time to listen to the pulse within. As far as I can tell in my life, listening to the pulse of my heart breeds only harmony. What about you?

Respect and honor are codes of warriors from ancient days. Today they are essential components to moving forward and living while listening that pulse. You, I, each person must consistently practice an authentic respect and honor within - first. When we are in that state, then we have the immense peace and satisfaction resonating from us. Just arguing the values, pros and cons, of respect and honor don't make them manifest. They must be lived. And, this isn't about waiting until someone else starts living them or just talking about them either. This is about living them now to remain connected with the pulse of our heart.

The quality of your present moment boils down to the Law of Attraction. We attract what we are being. If we find our self in disagreement with that premise, then we are obviously numb, to some degree or another, or our true state. When one is in their mind they try to reason the Law of Attraction away. When one is attuned to their pulse, they simply adjust their focus and keep moving forward because they understand that life is energy and is very fluid; that by shifting their focus they are truly creating a new way of being that will impact who they are and what they attract. I have experienced this from the perspective of my heart and my mind. How about you?

Discovering your awareness in the moment and seizing it to express your appreciation, gratitude, or honor of living is a potent process. It doesn't happen overnight. It requires steps, the number and path of which depend totally on who you are - NOW. For each of us, moving forward with an intentional life requires accepting and nourishing what feels sacred to you - in this step, and then the next, and then the next, and so forth. At first you may feel uncomfortable and that's okay - you are exploring new ground within you. Keep your heart open and be nonjudgmental of yourself.
In the aura of this sacredness I can create my intention(s) as to what I want to fill my experience with. How about you?

Worldwide Visualization For A Breakthrough, December 11th & 22nd

Dec. 11th & 22nd Massive Worldwide Visualization For A Breakthrough

Please Join Us at any time of this December 11th & 22nd!

YOU CAN DO IT ONCE OR SEVERAL TIMES :)

We will persist till we make it!

(let’s feel we have already achieve it, it is done.)

Dear Reader,

We live on a beautiful planet. There is so much love and beauty. But the powers that rule it, the governments and the elite, just don't seem to want to do what's right. Mother Earth produces enough to let at least 10 billion people live in peace and abundance, but all our rulers can think of is how to keep their power, create conflics and war, and make us pay more and more. Through dark brotherhoods and secret operations they ignore the will of the people. They try to keep us in a state of dependence and fear through the media that they control.

Isn't it time to change that? Isn't it time that WE decide how our planet is run? It's easier than you think. Yes, really. There's a law of physics that maybe you've already heard about, which is perfect for breaking this old paradigm, this old and worn out system where the rich few control the rest of us. This law is called the "Law of Attraction". It says that whatever you focus on that you want, and truly feel in your heart, you attract to yourself. Just look it up on the web or in the library (read "The Secret" for instance), there are many, many stories of people who changed their lives successfully this way.

The way to use it, is through visualization. When you visualize something that you want, and you feel the joy AS IF IT HAD ALREADY HAPPENED, it will manifest itself.

You can apply this to your personal life, but also for the greater benefit of our planet and mankind. The more people that focus on it, the stronger the energy gets. The energy that is sent out by a group of people, multiplies itself, it becomes stronger than the sum of those people. Don't just take our word for is, it has been proven scientifically. Just watch a video that we made about it, you can find it here:
www.VisualizeDaily.com

Now, there have been many group visualizations and meditations already. For World Peace, for instance. Still, there's no peace. Didn't these actions work? They sure did! You could see it in our video. The problem is, that once the peaceful energy has done its job, if meanwhile the ruling powers keep working in the opposite direction, everything reverts back to the old situation again. Soldiers are ordered to pick up the weapons again that they laid down, crime rises again due to the difficult situation that people are still in, etc.

That's why we need to focus on something that cannot be reversed. Never.

And that is: a BREAKTHROUGH.

Don't worry about exactly what you focus on, energy is an intelligent thing, it will find it's way. As you could see in our video, when people visualize peace, also crimes against people decline, traffic accidents decline, emergency hospital room visits decline, and stock market soar. Peace is peace, a breakthrough is a breakthrough. Energy knows where to go. If we focus on a breakthrough, it will find the weakest link in the chain that still holds this worn out paradigm together. And it will BREAK it.

When enough people visualize it, and truly feel it in their hearts, it will happen. It might be the 6,578th participant who gives the old paradigm its final little push, or it might be the 10,234th, but break it shall. Just wait and see.

Focus on something that will make you really, really happy. And feel the feeling as if it had already happened. Whether it is Obama announcing UFO disclosure, free energy becoming available for the public, a major tv station or newspaper revealing that 9/11 was an inside job, or something else major. It all comes down to the same thing: the end of the dark establishment. Just take your pick :)

What's most important, is the joy that you would feel if this breakthrough had just happened. Visualize, for instance, war and hunger making way for peace and abundance, all around our planet. Desperate children getting new hope. Stress and fear making way for happiness and time with your loved ones. Corrupt politicians and ineffective medical care making way for inspirational leaders and true healing. Toxic food and oil based industry making way for healthy food and free energy. All these things ALREADY EXIST on our planet, but are still being oppressed by the dark system. That's why we need a breakthrough. And we're gonna make it happen!

We have this date 12.11.11 & 12.22.11 to massively join our energies.

It's not important how long you do it, 5 seconds is enough. The important thing is that you truly feel the joy of this breakthrough, as it if had already happened. That's enough to add your own little (but BIG!) contribution to the quantum ways through which the Law of Attraction works. Together we make it a HUGE power that will change this world forever, for the good of the people.

Now comes the second important part. This project works through the 'everybody knows everybody' principle. It is said that within six times of forwarding, you can reach every single person on the planet. So, we ask you to forward this email to EVERYBODY in your address book that you think would like to join this action. By doing this, we can create an enormous army of light, even in one day!

Thank you so much for joining this action. Mother Earth and all of us who are longing for peace and harmony just like you, will be thankful to you. And to everybody else who joined, because we are doing this TOGETHER! Please forward this e-mail now. Don't postpone it, NOW is the moment.

Thank You!!!

Adriano, Boogy, Guillermo, Jimena, Ale, Teddy, Eduardo, Cristian, Kiki, Stephan, Martin, Ute, Alain, Luísa, Kees, Alexandre, André, Winny, Milna, Puk, Per, Cagga, Diana, Dana, Gertie, Mara, U2awaking, Camelia, Gloria, Steve, Krystal, Elizabeth, Livia, Siniša, Leif, Sorin, Danusa, Yonghun, Takuya, Toni, Gloria, Charlotte, Guillermo, Maja, Zeljka, Haim, Claudio, Bénédicte, Stella, Darko, Slava, Javier, Michelle, Louise, Anneliese, Casandra, Eniko, Tauno, Pierre, Paco, Light River, Edward, Marijana, Petra, Alessandro, Wayne (feel free to add your name)

PS After the paradigm has shifted, we can use or collective power for other causes. Like cleaning our planet, helping people in need, etc. if you would like to join these actions too, please leave your name at the bottom of our site

The Search For Meaning - Where To Find It? December's Gemini Lunar Eclipse

The books we read should be chosen with great care, that they may be, as an Egyptian king wrote over his library, “The medicines of the soul.” Paxton Hood

To me the charm of an encyclopedia is that it knows and I needn’t. Francis Yeats Brown

There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them. Joseph Brodsky

In science, read by preference the newest works. In literature, read the oldest. The classics are always modern. Lord Edward Lytton

Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill. Barbara Tuchman

Occurring on December 10 in the United States and the early hours of the morning on December 11 in Australia, December's full Moon is a total lunar eclipse. Being a south node eclipse, this is an event that will have many examining, and learning from, the past. The Sabian Symbol is Gemini 19: In A Museum, A Large Archaic Volume Reveals A Traditional Wisdom.

The ‘Large Archaic Volume Reveals a Traditional Wisdom’. It is in a ‘Museum’ where it is safe and secure, and available to all who pass by and appreciate it. ‘Traditional Wisdom’ is nowadays often taken for granted or ignored. In this Symbol this ‘Wisdom’ is locked away in a ‘Museum’ like some kind of curiosity that is somehow revered, but possibly no longer relevant. The ‘Museum’ may literally be a building, but it may also be information or knowledge hidden deep within yourself or the elders of your community. This ‘Wisdom’ is held within all of us and merely needs to be tapped to be understood.

Some effort needs to be made to discover this ‘Large Archaic Volume’ and to allow the  ‘Traditional Wisdom’ within it to inspire your actions in present day situations. You may experience intuitive ‘Wisdom’ that seems to be generated outside of your own experience. In a progressive world we look so often for new ideas and new solutions. ‘Traditional’ knowledge can seem to be irrelevant to the present, but in truth it is something we often need in our lives. The knowledge behind those beliefs or rituals can be as relevant today as it has always been. Reading and studying this ‘Archaic Wisdom’ can bring a sense of pride in our ancestors and those that went before us. It is, however, often important to update the way we view and use traditional wisdom. Confidence in your actions will come from foundations that have a history or a strong sense of past. Learn to take the best from the past, as it is useful for providing answers and clues to modern life problems. However, let go of any old and outworn beliefs that are holding you back.

Keywords: Reading and learning. Collective knowledge coming from ancient sources. Enormous potential to be tapped. The Akashic records. Astrology. The Bible. Learning from the victories and mistakes of the past. Old stories that come out of the past or are hard to forget. Shamanic knowledge. Learning from heritage. The roots of civilization. Books. Ancient sources of information. The mysteries.

The Caution: Not understanding wise messages or advice. Being caught up in accepting only what tradition dictates. Old fashioned rules of “the book”. Old and outdated laws.

The message that seems to be coming through is one of defining 'the rules' that one lives by in order for things to work more efficiently. What is it that you've learned but have yet to put into practice in your life? What definitions, rules and boundaries should be let go of as they no longer work for you? Here's a link to some great art created by books click here.

Finding someone to share your thoughts, ideas and beliefs is shown by the Karmic Condition (the degree before) of this full Moon. It's Gemini 18: Two Chinese Men Speaking Chinese In A Western Crowd. Do you have people in your life that speak your language? That understand your mindset? That want to converse with you so that you can learn from each other? Are you finding it hard to find people that you can share with on a heart, mind and soul level?

Keywords: Finding those of like mind. Leaving the “western crowd” behind. People having a specialized language that doesn’t communicate with the larger population. Exclusivity in communication. Interpreting or misinterpreting tones of voice. People being drawn to each other. “Chinese whispers”.

The Caution: Reluctance to adapt. Being with people who don’t share the same philosophies or understandings. No one to communicate with on the same level. Stories that get out of control. Depending on others to mirror one’s self. Being in alien territory. Schizophrenia. Hearing voices. Racism.

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun seems to suggest that some will have to move on in some way in order to feel safe, secure, protected and nourished in their environment. The Symbol is Sagittarius 19: Pelicans Disturbed By The Garbage Of People Move To A New Habitat. Do you have to put up with 'garbage' from others? Noise, pollution and negative thinking can impact on one's desire to live a happier, more fulfilling life. Do you need to move on? Do you need someone else to move out of your environment? Do you need to speak up about what's bothering you?

Keywords: Concerns with survival. The endeavor to achieve mental, physical or emotional well-being or peace. Noise and other irritants that make life difficult. Looking out for the safety and security of one’s children, home or creative ventures. Feeling unsafe with conditions being insecure and unpredictable. Having nowhere to rest.

The Caution: Mess and rubbish left around. Not being prepared to compromise or cohabit. People not being able to live together. “Fouling of one’s nest”. Being told that things are being done “for your own good” regardless of what you want. Noise driving people out. Leases running out.
Topping off the idea of boundaries, laws, rules and regulations is Venus on Capricorn 18:  A Union Jack Flies From A New British Warship. Here again is the concern with what you will and won't put up with. With Venus in Capricorn, there's also the spectre of money, big business and corporations and the issues that they bring up. Do you build walls that keep relationships or good things from getting too close to you? Are you often on the defense?

Keywords: Colonialism. Protectionism. The government, big business and the media. Class-consciousness. Power and political displays. Displays of “law and order”. Border patrols and protection. Strength and might. Nationalism. Royalty. The ruling elite. Supervision. The armed forces. Patrols. Pitting people against each other. Empires. Victory bringing riches. The mother country. The struggle against decline. Flags. Imperialism. The Commonwealth. The rule of law.
The Caution: Artificial shows of strength. Bullying from the “big guys”. Being armed “to the teeth”. Strong-arm tactics. Disrespect for authority. People or institutions that throw their weight around. Anarchy. Traitors. Being anti establishment. Social disintegration. War games. Civil wars. Feeling squeezed by authority. Rebellion. Civilian liveslost for political causes. Governing forces that deny individual rights. Invasions.

Venus is in a rather difficult aspect to the Moon, being in quincunx aspect, and you could find it a bit difficult to align your wants with your needs. I think of the quincunx as being like the 'itch that is difficult to scratch', but one needs to be creative, to find solutions that really suit rather than being band aids that will rub off at the next event.

Mars in Virgo could help to sort things out, particularly as Mars is slowing right down for it's long stay in that sign - Mars goes retrograde in January. Virgo, when it's not been sacrificial and self effacing, can be a great sign for getting things in order, to demarcate those boundaries, to decide what is worth keeping and what is not. The Symbol is Virgo 14: Finely Letter Names And Mysterious Lines Are Seen: It Is A Family Tree. Many will be asking questions about who really is 'family' and who is not. It seems that just because we're related to someone, that doesn't mean that we belong with them. Family in this context, especially with Mars here, can have people delving into their family tree all the way up to deciding not to have some family members in their space. It's an interesting challenge in the lead up to the holidays. Who do you invite? Who invites you? Do you want to go? Are you over Christmas? Would you rather take off (like the 'Pelicans', perhaps) to an island where you don't have to deal with all the garbage?

The karmic Moon's north node is STILL on Sagittarius 15 (where it's been for a long time), on The Groundhog Looking For Its Shadow On Groundhog Day.

Keywords: Looking back, reading the signs. Divination and other systems of inquiry. Seeing society as being to blame. People having a good look at how they seem to others. Wondering how others perceive you and picture you. Prophets that can tell the “weather”ahead of time. Predictions. Prognosticating. Welcoming an early spring. Scrutinizing objectives. Looking to nature for clues.
The Caution: Being scared to act without some message of confirmation. People (or society) looking for someone to blame for conditions. Relying on the same solutions without consideration of changes. Blizzards and the cold.

So, are you still waking up in the morning wondering what the heck you're doing with your  life? Wondering why you keep repeating the same old patterns? Curiously, in Sydney in the first week of summer, it is unseasonably cold (it's the coldest December in 50 years). Where the heck is summer? For some, of course, blizzards are setting in in the northern hemisphere - but what exactly is blowing the coldest wind in your direction?

As this is a lunar eclipse, the karmic Moon's nodes are very much involved in the action and it's can be a time of big events, breakthroughs, realizations and the birthing of a new era in life, particularly as we go into 2012. The shift in energy that we'll be feeling over the next year is enormous and this lunar eclipse is part of the birth of the new. Something that was 'birthed' at the partial solar eclipse on November 25 feels set to break (or reach a peak). The Symbol for that solar eclipse was Sagittarius 3: Two Men Playing Chess.... the motif of chess, gamesmanship and issues of winning (particularly ruling rights and territory), aligns with the issues to do with boundaries that are coming to the fore now.

Aligning with the idea of books, learning, intellect and communications is the karmic Moon's south node on Gemini 15: Two Dutch Children Talking And Studying Their Lessons Together. Here again, as with the Two Chinese Men Speak Chinese, we have 'two' people, conversing and sharing ideas. They have a rather specialized language, or they come from a culture that may be quite different from others. Again, there's the need to find one's 'equal', mate, partner or friend that really gets what you're about.

Mercury is retrograde on Sagittarius 5: An Old Owl Perched High Up In A Tree. This shows the need, or the desire, of observing, taking everything in while being reflective about what's being shown to you. What is it that you are, or should be, digesting?

Keywords: Wisdom and strength. Evening contemplation. Keeping thoughts to oneself. A wise “sage” type of person. Nocturnal vision. Exalted wisdom. “Night owls”. Heightened sight and seeing. Being silent and alert for the slightest movement. The ability to see all around.

The Caution: Smug denial of available wisdom. Someone thinking they know it all. Not wanting to join in with others in fun activities. Acting old before their time. Excluding others as being frivolous and unknowing. Waiting for one’s prey.

Jupiter goes direct in a few week's time, so it's energy is amplifying Taurus 1: A Clear Mountain Stream Flows Steadily Downstream. Jupiter is doubly strong as it rules the Sun and the Moon's north node. It seems to be asking that we 'get into the flow', gathering steam as we head to our objectives with the law of gravity at our backs. In what direction are you flowing? How are you pushing towards the things you want?

Keywords: Remaining fluid. Flowing energy. Pure sources, nourishment and refreshment. Sure sense of direction. “Untainted” blood lines. Purifying one’s thoughts, ideas and beliefs. Things set in train from upstream. Water. Dams. Water as a resource. Purification. Cleaning and cleansing. Pipelines. The spiritual dimensions of water. Baptism. Elemental knowledge. Traffic. Flowing crowds of people.

The Caution: Aimlessness. Aloofness. Feelings of physical, spiritual, racial or intellectual purity that can lead to smugness, bigotry or a false sense of superiority. Ice cold feelings and responses. Not taking notice or being concerned about another’s feelings. Cold ambition. Mud and sediment. Pollutants. Algae. Stagnant moments.

Adding to the sense of forward momentum is Uranus turning direct again after being retrograde since July. Uranus can bring up questions like 'what about me?', and 'what (or who) am I do this for and it's a time for launching into the new, especially as Uranus is on Aries 1: A Woman Has Risen From The Ocean, A Seal Is Embracing Her.

Keywords: Cycles starting. Beginnings. Emergence into concrete manifestation. Embracing and honoring the shadow. Recognizing our animal side. Tropical islands or lands. Rocky shores. Seals. Oceans and water. Shedding skins. Transmutation. The Selkie myth. Grounding one’s energy. Stepping between the sea and the shore. Androgyny. Love and its embrace. Finding your feet and your voice.

The Caution: Using masculine power to overshadow emotions or entertain fear. Refusing to move into a new state. Feeling held back by fears and old life patterns. Falling back into previous, unsatisfactory conditions. People dragging others backwards. Immobilizing fear of the unknown. Being just another “fish in the sea”.

Pluto is on Capricorn 7: A Veiled Prophet Speaks, Seized By The Power Of A God. This asks where your sense of authority lies, who do you listen to? Can you trust what's being said? Is there truth in the airwaves or is it mostly manipulation? What is emanating from your own sense of power? How are you manifesting your words, your thoughts, your ideals?

Last but not least is Chiron, which I see very much as the stories that we tell ourselves that feed our woundedness and our 'not being good enough'. Chiron is on Pisces 2: A Squirrel Hiding From Hunters. The trick with this is to watch, listen and learn about where you sabotage your efforts to be free, independent and to bask in the sunshine. For many, it may be time to come out of their hiding hole.

A Day in the Life of a Life Coach

Deciding on a career path can be a long process if you have never really decided what you love to do. Allot of times, we don't even come to the place of deciding that it's even possible to have a career that is both fulfilling and lucrative, if this is your desire.

If you are like myself, where it took a couple of tries before I was able to hone in on what I loved, the path that you are already on, may be an indication of the skills you are going to need, people you are suppose to meet, and places you are meant to be, until finally you realize that all that you have been doing, has culminated into what you were always meant to do.

For instance, I started out working for a very large healthcare organization in my area. In fact, the largest in South Jersey. While working for this healthcare organization, I would gather the majority of the skills that I currently utilize, in helping me to run my current business in Life Coaching, as well as my home organizing business and the office that I currently run, as Practice Manager.

I would learn how to maintain client records, with confidentiality, learn professionalism and networking, I would learn CPR (an extra-added bonus), computer skills, systems thinking, how to run an office, curriculum development, training, teaching, and a host of other skills to fill the page.
All in all, the most valuable skills I learned were when I interacted with a client.

Learning to actively listen to what was being said before having an answer. Speaking clearly and concisely to convey, not only the point that I may have wanted to get across, but learning how to repeat back to a client, what they just said so they were confident I understood their message. None of what I just described had anything to do with my being a Life Coach/Motivator at the time, but the qualities of wanting the best, and seeing the best in people, were always inherent in my day to day interactions.

One day, it dawned on me after going to a clients home for my home organizing business, that I was already doing the work of a Life Coach/Motivator, but working in a different capacity. I decided to go back to school, where I received my Bachelors degree in spiritual counseling, and I was now able to focus my attention on my hearts desire to help people, while having a business that I can nurture and enjoy.

Look back on all you've done to this point. Take inventory of the skills you have acquired and know that you have an array of directions you can choose from. You don't even have to choose just one thing. The choice is yours.

It is said that if you "Do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

Welcome to the path of Self Awareness

How much do you know about your hair?

United Truth Seekers

© Black Elk
This information about hair has been hidden from the public since the Viet Nam War .

Our culture leads people to believe that hair style is a matter of personal preference, that hair style is a matter of fashion and/or convenience, and that how people wear their hair is simply a cosmetic issue. Back in the Vietnam war however, an entirely different picture emerged, one that has been carefully covered up and hidden from public view.

In the early nineties, Sally [name changed to protect privacy] was married to a licensed psychologist who worked at a VA Medical hospital. He worked with combat veterans with PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder. Most of them had served in Vietnam.

Sally said, "I remember clearly an evening when my husband came back to our apartment on Doctor's Circle carrying a thick official looking folder in his hands. Inside were hundreds of pages of certain studies commissioned by the government. He was in shock from the contents. What he read in those documents completely changed his life. From that moment on my conservative middle of the road husband grew his hair and beard and never cut them again. What is more, the VA Medical center let him do it, and other very conservative men in the staff followed his example.

As I read the documents, I learned why. It seems that during the Vietnam War special forces in the war department had sent undercover experts to comb American Indian Reservations looking for talented scouts, for tough young men trained to move stealthily through rough terrain. They were especially looking for men with outstanding, almost supernatural, tracking abilities. Before being approached, these carefully selected men were extensively documented as experts in tracking and survival.

With the usual enticements, the well proven smooth phrases used to enroll new recruits, some of these Indian trackers were then enlisted. Once enlisted, an amazing thing happened. Whatever talents and skills they had possessed on the reservation seemed to mysteriously disappear, as recruit after recruit failed to perform as expected in the field.

Serious causalities and failures of performance led the government to contract expensive testing of these recruits, and this is what was found.

When questioned about their failure to perform as expected, the older recruits replied consistently that when they received their required military haircuts, they could no longer 'sense' the enemy, they could no longer access a 'sixth sense', their 'intuition' no longer was reliable, they couldn't 'read' subtle signs as well or access subtle extrasensory information.

So the testing institute recruited more Indian trackers, let them keep their long hair, and tested them in multiple areas. Then they would pair two men together who had received the same scores on all the tests. They would let one man in the pair keep his hair long, and gave the other man a military haircut. Then the two men retook the tests.

Time after time the man with long hair kept making high scores. Time after time, the man with the short hair failed the tests in which he had previously scored high scores.

Here is a Typical Test:

The recruit is sleeping out in the woods. An armed 'enemy' approaches the sleeping man. The long haired man is awakened out of his sleep by a strong sense of danger and gets away long before the enemy is close, long before any sounds from the approaching enemy are audible.

In another version of this test the long haired man senses an approach and somehow intuits that the enemy will perform a physical attack. He follows his 'sixth sense' and stays still, pretending to be sleeping, but quickly grabs the attacker and 'kills' him as the attacker reaches down to strangle him.

This same man, after having passed these and other tests, then received a military haircut and consistently failed these tests, and many other tests that he had previously passed.

So the document recommended that all Indian trackers be exempt from military haircuts. In fact, it required that trackers keep their hair long."

Comment:

The mammalian body has evolved over millions of years. Survival skills of human and animal at times seem almost supernatural. Science is constantly coming up with more discoveries about the amazing abilities of man and animal to survive. Each part of the body has highly sensitive work to perform for the survival and well being of the body as a whole. The body has a reason for every part of itself.

Hair is an extension of the nervous system, it can be correctly seen as exteriorized nerves, a type of highly evolved 'feelers' or 'antennae' that transmit vast amounts of important information to the brain stem, the limbic system, and the neocortex.

Not only does hair in people, including facial hair in men, provide an information highway reaching the brain, hair also emits energy, the electromagnetic energy emitted by the brain into the outer environment. This has been seen in Kirlian photography when a person is photographed with long hair and then rephotographed after the hair is cut.

When hair is cut, receiving and sending transmissions to and from the environment are greatly hampered. This results in numbing-out .

Cutting of hair is a contributing factor to unawareness of environmental distress in local ecosystems. It is also a contributing factor to insensitivity in relationships of all kinds. It contributes to sexual frustration.

Conclusion:

In searching for solutions for the distress in our world, it may be time for us to consider that many of our most basic assumptions about reality are in error. It may be that a major part of the solution is looking at us in the face each morning when we see ourselves in the mirror.

The story of Sampson and Delilah in the Bible has a lot of encoded truth to tell us. When Delilah cut Sampson's hair, the once undefeatable Sampson was defeated.

Interview with maker of THRIVE (12 mins) done December 5, 2011

Thrive is the best documentary I have watched so far, millions of dollars to make over 8 years and all the information has been "Fact Checked" by experts. This interview is with Foster Gamble who made the documentary with his wife and it's a "must see".

He explains how optimistic he is today, more than ever, that people are stepping up to the plate and expressing courage - with the end result being that we will end the fear and domination force fed to the mass population for the lass 300 years. Very inspiring !

What type of meditation works for you?

Traditionally, meditation was situated within the context of a set of religious beliefs, teachings, and practices. The objective was to alter everyday consciousness to reach a state of receptiveness to the goals of the tradition. The customary meditation posture involves sitting in a cross-legged position on a cushion with an awareness of bodily position. There are variations that include lying down, standing, and walking as well as other forms of movement such as yoga and qigong.

Modern meditation groups may sit in chairs. Eyes can be closed or open and unfocused. Meditation may be performed individually or in groups. Some meditation teachers emphasize that meditation is a state of mind involving awareness and acceptance, and can thus be done at any time in the midst of any activity. There are countless forms of meditation, but most fall into three or four general categories: concentrative, open awareness, and guided – as well as the broadly defined practice of mindfulness.

Concentrative Meditation In this practice the objective is to cultivate a single-pointed attention on some object, such as a sound, an image, the breath, or a flame. Through the training of consistently returning to the object of focus, the mind develops the capacity to remain calm, stabilized, and grounded. Many Western meditation teachers start beginners with this practice, most commonly focusing on the breath. In some advanced practices, states of bliss may be reached. The most well-known and researched form of the concentrative type in the West is Transcendental Meditation (TM).

Open Awareness The objective of these forms of meditative practices is to open the mind into a panoramic awareness of whatever is happening without a specific focus. Often this awareness is compared to the spacious sky or a river with objects floating by. The capacity to be present with whatever arises is developed through this practice. The Zen sitting practice zazen, or shikantaza, is an example of this form of meditation practiced in the West.

Mindfulness The most popular, widely adapted, and widely researched meditation technique in the West is known as mindfulness meditation, which is a combination of concentration and open awareness. Mindfulness is found in many contemplative traditions, but is most often identified with the Theravadan Buddhist practice of vipassana, or “insight meditation.” The practitioner focuses on an object, such as the breath, bodily sensations, thoughts, feelings, or sounds. The focus is not as narrow as in concentrative meditation, for there is a simultaneous awareness of other phenomena. This mindfulness practice is often extended to daily actions, such as eating, walking, driving, or housework. The contemporary Western adaptation is typically removed from the rigorous contemplative training method of empirical introspection traditionally associated with Buddhism, which has as its objective the development of equanimity and clarity of perception.

Guided Meditation All forms of meditation can be guided, and many are often practiced with recorded or in-person guidance at first, and then later with decreasing need for explicit guidance. In one form, called guided imagery, the practitioner follows auditory guidance from a teacher or recording that elicits certain images, affirmations, states (such as peacefulness), or imagined desired experiences. Guided imagery is popular in the West to facilitate health and well-being and is often used to rehearse successful outcomes of procedures, such as surgery or an athletic performance.
There are scores of variations of meditation, most of which range along a continuum of some combination of concentration and open awareness techniques. Defining and understanding the type of meditation being practiced represents some of the most important and challenging factors in the field of scientific meditation research. The difficulty of creating clear and consistent definitions of meditative practices is evidenced by the discrepancies found in many academic descriptions of meditation.

Penn State, the Church and my Ego, Part 2

Last week I posted a message about the recent allegations and reported actions (or non-actions) of officials at Penn State University. I focused on the power of institutionalization and drew parallels to the process the early Church in determining what to include in the New Testament and to the recent scandals involving the Roman Catholic Church.

I also broadened this power of institutionalization to include the subtle power of my identification with race, with nationalism/patriotism, and with economic class. I concluded that if I am already a loved/accepted spirit simply having a human experience right now, it is easier (but not easy!) to keep my True Self separate from the institution with which I trade effort for pay/image/self-definition or from limiting concepts of nationalism, political persuasion, or perceived economic standing.

Since posting that message my thoughts kept coming back to my own initial experience of the power of identification and its influence on who I think I truly am.

I grew up in a small town in West Texas about 30 miles south of Lubbock. I went to some Texas colleges and experienced a little cultural broadening. All in all, my college experiences reflected a life basically the same as high school – same attitudes, same foods, same white students, same worship of sports.

Then I went to graduate school – the Presbyterian-affiliated Princeton (NJ) Theological Seminary. Since I had to work, I took a position as a Student Assistant Minister in a downtown Trenton (NJ) Presbyterian Church on Prospect Street. I worked with the congregation's youth and began an outreach program into the mostly black, mostly impoverished local neighborhood. After Seminary I took a position as a Street Gang minister – a position that was new and uncharted. I did that for two years before it almost destroyed my marriage.

What a wake-up call!  In the late 60's, culturally, Trenton's ghettoes were about as far away from West Texas as a person could get. Working as a street minister, however, taught me several very important lessons.

A group of concerned citizens in Princeton wanted to host a fund-raiser for my ministry. Most were members of Princeton's Episcopal Church. I was very grateful. However, for the first time in my life I was the VERY conspicuous minority. These Princeton residents, most of whom were black, were medical doctors or PhDs in biology or chemistry with the World Health Organization (WHO), senior analysts or managers with the United Nations, planning consultants with UNESCO, policy wonks with the Princeton Testing Service, physicists at Einstein's Institute for Advanced Study or with Princeton University itself. From the aspect of race I was the only white person there. From the aspect of economics I was the poorest paid. From the aspect of education there was only one other person – an Indian woman –who, like me, only had a Masters Degree. In terms of race, economic status, and education I was the little, poor, undereducated white guy. Talk about a blow to my ego! What kind of world was I living in? This was definitely not the world of "Leave It To Beaver."

I learned that Christianity is not synonymous with being a good little middle class Boy Scout. If I could've told churches that was my goal – to transform these angry young men into good little citizens, I would never have had a problem raising money for my independent-of-any-single-congregation ministry. But these were not aspiring little Boy Scouts. These were 17- to 24-year old, angry, young black men. They were proud of who they were and they violently resented attempts to make them Oreo cookies – black on the outside and white on the inside.

It was in Trenton, as it rioted following Martin Luther King's murder, that I came to understand:
The matriarchal nature of their society: I saw firsthand the inequities built into the administration of our political and religious/moral codes that kept husbands and fathers away from their homes so mom and the kids could get the help they needed.

These policies applied to governmental assistance programs, as well as to private charitable organizations. So, in effect, our moral, Christian society was forcing the break-up the family unit in order to "help" them. We kind of did the same thing to Native Americans.

The middle class American whiteness of my interpretation of Protestant Christianity: I had learned, for example, to share my lunch with someone less fortunate. That's what loving your neighbor as yourself meant. What do you say to a whole group that has no lunch to share? To a group that steals to pawn to get money for lunch? To a group that steals to "get back at the system?" So I said, "Why not steal cereal, powdered milk, fresh fruit? At least you can have some lunch and you can take the remainder home for your little brothers and sisters."

The power of acceptance and the meaning of "caring and sharing," which became our motto: During the MLK riots, there was a curfew at night. During the day I would conspicuously walk the streets so people could see I was still there – I had not retreated into the suburbs. One of my guys, named Ronnie, came running after me one day, trying to drag me back to the pool parlor where I made my headquarters. His cousin had gotten a pistol and was looking for me. Ronnie was willing to risk his life (and his familiar relationships) to shield me.

All of this played a significant role in laying the groundwork for my desire for a spiritual path as opposed to the pursuit of a sense of "rightness" stemming from my religious dogma. In short, what I learned is the critical importance of always trying to use 2 little words: "…for me." I came to understand that my thoughts of "right, normal, accepted, and Christian" were influenced more by my cultural/racial/educational/economic sense of identity than by dogma or some form of religiosity. I found if I could simply add the prepositional phrase "for me" to the end of most sentences, truth would begin to penetrate all the way to my True Self.  For example, rather than saying, "The Bible is the source of truth in spiritual issues," I began saying the Bible is my source of truth in spiritual issues because that makes sense for me."

Those 2 little words began opening the door for me to accept someone else's different perception of the rightness of things – cultural or spiritual – as being just as valid as mine.
That was the beginning of my spiritual journey. That's how it all started for me.

If all I've been saying rings true for you relative to getting to your True Self, then the reality of the power of your perception becomes unmistakable. If what's real about my world is simply my perception of it, then my world really doesn't exist. If that's the case, how can one really be IN this world but not OF it? What world are we talking about? My perception or yours? That's a great question and I'll address it in next week's message.

Thanks for listening and, as always, it's okay to forward this, if you choose.

Learn about "do nothing" farming

Masanobu Fukuoka, a Japanese farmer and philosopher, had Four Principles of Natural Farming: no cultivation, no chemical fertilizer or prepare compost,no weeding by tillage and herbicides, and no dependence on chemicals.

He called it "do-nothing, natural farming".

This clip offers us an introduction into the natural simplicity and essence of his permaculture wisdom - sustainability.

"Natural Farming is not simply a way of growing crops, it is a green way of life and an expanded lifestyle perception.
